Taking a short break to heal...

Hi, everyone!!  I had a bad fall this past Friday and hurt my left hand and wrist (the one with the WORST arthritis damage). I'm wearing a wrist brace while it heals, but it will be hard to make cards for a while (typing is not too easy either).  Hopefully I'll be back soon with some creations. Until then, I'll enjoy checking out everyone's blogs and galleries of work.

Hope to be back soon! Hugs!!!

Working with Stamps

Hi, everyone!!! Sorry I've been gone for a while. I've been fighting a throat and ear infection these past 5 days, and now I'm starting to come back to life, so to speak. I've done a few cards using these clings stamps by Ditto I found at Michael's Craft Store. Here's the first card:
I used papers by Echo Park (Soda Fountain) for this card design. The stamp title is by Stampendous, and I used black ink by Close to My Heart.
I don't have Copic markers yet, so after I stamped the image, I used color pencils by Martha Stewart, then I added gems on the flowers.
For this second card, I wanted to keep the design simple and centered around the stamped flowers. I also used color pencils by Martha Stewart on these as well.
I adhered the flowers with pop dots to the embossed background of the card, and I layered them together a bit.  I added clear gems to the center of the flowers and stamped some leaves mix in with the flowers. The stamped title above is by Hero Arts.

Thank you  so much for stopping by, and I appreciate you kind comments! Hugs!!!

You're the best, Mom!

Hi, everyone!!! Mother's Day is this weekend, so my post today is the card I've made for my mom!
The base of the card is a pale pink cardstock, embossed with a Script embossing folder I got from Hobby Lobby. I cut large Spellbinder's circle and scalloped circle dies, and used Tim Holtz Distressing Inks around the edges of the dies (Peeled Paint and Spun Sugar).

I don't stamp much, but I wanted my mom to have flowers on her card since she LOVES to plant flowers in her garden. I used a wooden rubber daisy stamp I found in my stash by Stamp Craft. I used different colored inks on the flowers by American Crafts Stamp Markers (Primary and Pastel Inks). I adhered the flowers with pop dots, and added gems on the center of each flower. The stamp title is also a wooden rubber stamp from my stash by Inkadinkado. I finished the card with a green satin ribbon, some coordinating paper by Echo Park (Soda Fountain), and punched some scallop border at the bottom of the card.

As  always, thank you SO much for stopping by, and I appreciate your kind comments! Hugs!!!

Card Sets

Hello, everyone! Boy, it's been really busy for me since last weekend! My niece graduated from college, we had a big family dinner party for her, and I had a baby shower yesterday! Whew!  It's good to be back to post a set of cards I've been working on to send out to some special friends.
The stamp "You're in my Thoughts and Prayers" is by Stampabilities I got from Hobby Lobby a few years ago.
I used papers by Echo Park (Upscale and Runway Collection Kits). I kept the design simple using border punches by EK Success and Fiskars, and I finished the cards with twine by We R Memory Keepers, and gem flourishes by Recollections.

As always, thank you SO much for stopping by, and I appreciate your kind comments! Hugs!!!

Birthday Wishes

Hi, everyone! I have a simple card post for today. I'm working on a graduation card and Mother's Day cards, so I've been pretty busy! This card for today was made using one of my favorite color combinations: pink and chocolate brown.
The papers are by Echo Park (Dots and Stripes Homefront). I used a Spellbinder's Label One die cut in the design, and Martha Stewart's Bubble Border punch and Cup Cake punches. I used brown and white twine by We R Memory Keepers (Baker's Twine Neutral), and the stamp title is by Hero Arts (Birthday Messages). Very simple to make!

As always, thank you SO much for stopping by, and I appreciate your kind comments! Hugs!!!

thinking of you

Happy 1st of May, everyone!!! It's a new month, and I hope to have many cards/projects to post! Here's my first post for May:
This simple card design was made using Echo Park papers (Dots and Stripes Soda Fountain and Homefront). I liked mixing the red, yellow and light blue colors.
I adhered the papers to the Spellbinders Labels Two die cut. Used the Fiskars Threading Water border punch and flower punches by All Night Media for accents. Finished the card with a silk white ribbon, a stamp title from Hero Arts (Everyday Sayings), and buttons on the flowers.

As always, thank you SO much for stopping by! I appreciate your kind comments! Hugs!!!

hello my friend!

Happy Saturday, everyone!!! I hope everyone is enjoying a fabulous weekend! This week has been a bit off for me on card posts, but I've got one for today!
I love the bright colors in this Jillibean Soup paper (Watermelon Gazpacho Soup Sprig of Mint), so I thought it would be good for a friendship card! I also used papers by Bazzill Basics (Two Scoops Cake Batter and Orange Sorbet) to coordinate with the other colors.

I made the flower using my Marvy Uchida Heart punch and layered some circles on top with a button and white floss. The stamp title is from acrylic stamps by the Paper Studio I got from Hobby Lobby, and I finished the card with some buttons on the bottom. Sweet! :)

As always, thank you SO much for stopping by, and I appreciate your kind comments! HUGS!!!
